This major update was revealed by the Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, July 30. While opening the Israeli cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister of Israel was seen promoting the infrastructure initiative, which included the One Israel Project.

During his description of the One Israel Project, it was revealed that it has been designed to reduce travel time by train. As a result, travelling to the countries’ business and government centres will take two hours or less! This plan is a revival of an idea, which has been promoted for years! At this point, it should be mentioned that a similar plan was approved in 2010 for a nationwide network that did not gain much traction according to a report by Reuters. So, during his televised remark, the Prime Minister of Israel mentioned that in future transporting of cargo will be able to happen by rail from Eilat to the Mediterranean, and they will also be able to link Israel by train to Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Peninsula!

So, with this development, does this mean that you will be able to take a scenic ride to Saudi Arabia from Israel in the future? What do you think? Let us know your thoughts!
