And it seems that with the evolving food culture in the emirate, it has now been featured on a list of the World’s Top Foodie Cities. Yes, a recent report has ranked Dubai in the top 10 cities for foodies around the world. Here’s all about it.

In a recent list released by comparethemarket, an emphasis has been laid on cities that are a haven for foodies around the world. Yes, the report has made a list of the World’s Top Foodie Cities. As it happens, Dubai has also ended up in the list of the top 10 cities by earning the seventh spot, however, the first spot was snagged by the city of Venice. Coming to its methodology, the data set ranked 50 different cities from around the world. For this, they have accounted six different factors. The factors taken into consideration for this include –

  1. Population
  2. Michelin restaurants
  3. Five-star restaurants per hundred thousand people
  4. Vegan or vegetarian restaurants per hundred thousand people
  5. Cost of a meal in Australian Dollars
  6. Positive social media sentiment
  7. Gluten-free restaurants per hundred thousand people.
