Yes, it was revealed in a report by Khaleej Times that the inaugural flight will take off on September 26 by departing from the Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai and will fly over to Farnborough, in the UK. This move comes especially at a time when pet travel is on the rise globally with the the International Pet and Transport Association estimating approximately 4 million pets and live animals being transported through flights. In case you’re wondering, passengers will have to shell out AED36,454.92 for a ticket, which guarantees a cabin for the pet owner and the canine member.

Pet Will Be Able To Sit On Their Human’s Lap

It should be noted that this route will see regular flights that will be taking place throughout the year and the coming 2024 from December to January, April, July and September, as several dates are yet to be announced. With the availability of this option, pet parents will not have to adhere to the commercial airline’s pet policies. In case you didn’t already know, this included that only small pets were allowed to travel in the cabin and larger pets would have had to travel in a cargo. Moreover, the check-in for this flight will happen at a deluxe private terminal of the airport and all passengers are expected to carry relevant medical certification for the pets. Additionally, they will have to be leashed at all times but they can sit on their human’s lap in the cabin.
