Around 42 miles away from West Bengal’s Siliguri, lies the quiet hilly town of Kalimpong. The lofty Himalayas encircling the green valleys, the soothing weather and the stunning wildlife of the Doors make Kalimpong an ideal travel destination for all those who love nature, mountains and serenity. The noteworthy tourist spots here, like the Neora Valley National Park, Deolo Hill, Crockety and Galinka are incredibly gorgeous. Recently, Kareena Kapoor Khan visited the dreamy hill station for the filming of the movie ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’ by Sujoy Ghosh.

1. Neora Valley National Park

Neora Valley National Park has a dreamy mist-clad terrain dotted by oak, bamboo and sal trees. On one side of the national park, lies the third highest mountain in the world, the Kanchenjunga. The place is home to rich wildlife comprising viverrids, Indian leopards, Asian golden cats, sambar deer and flying squirrels, among others.

2. Deolo Hill

From this hill, you can catch a panoramic view of the Kalimpong Valley. The view from here is so surreal that you might have to pinch yourself to believe that you are not dreaming! This is a great location to catch sunrises and sunsets over the mountains.
