Festive customs and celebrations have always been different and distinctive depending on the person who’s celebrating. Everyone in India has their own customs. However, a recent addition to the festive customs has emerged. The world’s first-ever Undhiyu Mixing Ceremony will take place in Bengaluru at the famous thali restaurant Khandani Rajdhani, marking an important turning point in festive customs.
A Look Into Undhiyu Mixing Ceremony & Swad Kesariya Festival
Participants in the festive Undhiyu Mixing Ceremony combine ingredients to create a famous dish that symbolises unity and community. The occasion ends with a carefully prepared thali that includes Undhiyu and other winter treats.
In contrast to customary cake-mixing festivities, this ceremony is a unique celebration of the winter harvest that emphasises the creation of Undhiyu, a dish made from yam, raw banana, fenugreek leaves, eggplant, and pigeon peas. Additionally, this event unites the community.
The occasion is a one-of-a-kind celebration of winter and the array of seasonal and fresh vegetables that go into making Gujarat’s famous and hearty cuisine, Undhiyu. The Undhiyu Mixing Ceremony kicks off Khandani Rajdhani’s much-anticipated Swad Kesariya Festival, a carefully planned celebration of winter cuisine from Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The famous Undhiyu is a highlight of the Swad Kesariya festival, which offers a changing menu of traditional meals like Shahi Angoor ki Sabzi and Lilva Surti Dal, to name a few, along with fresh bread and desserts like Shakarkandi Ka Halwa and Sitafal Phirni. Each visit offers a different culinary experience.
This wonderful food heaven event and festival will take place on December 7 at 4:30 PM. The location is at Salarpuria Landmark, Indiranagar, in Bengaluru.
