Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport becomes the fourth Indian airport to get DigiYatra. This was launched in the Kolkata airport on Friday. Domestic passengers can now enjoy this experience. This brand-new facility launched at airports makes it much easier for scanning passengers without any contact. In fact, the process of check-in and boarding services gets paperless with DigiYatra. This new technology is completely based on facial recognition. Here’s all you need to know about it.

They mentioned how this will help to get a seamless & hassle-free experience for passengers at NSCBI Airport and there will be no need for verification of ticket & ID at multiple touch points. The live trials of this facility began sometime back on 21 February 2023 at the Kolkata airport and it continued till Thursday. A total of 9,206 passengers were a part of this trial, according to a report by The Economic Times.
Shri C. Pattabhi, the Kolkata Airport Director inaugurated the DigiYatra facility on Friday. The AOC Chairperson and some senior officials of the Airports Authority of India, CISF, and Airlines were also present at this ceremony, Kolkata Airport shared in a tweet. At the present moment, only passengers flying with Air India, Go First, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Vistara are able to use DigiYatra for a seamless check-in and boarding process. Passengers can use this service at all these places inside the Kolkata airport.
