Ladakh is hosting South Asia’s highest-altitude art exhibition, ‘Sā Ladakh’. The exhibition is being hosted at 1200 feet above sea level. It debuted in Leh, Ladakh, on August 1, and its primary focus is climate, community, and culture in high-altitude environments. The initiative, ‘Sā Ladakh’ was started by Ladakhi mountaineer Tenzing ‘Jammy’ Jamyang, Austrian Sri Lankan artist Raki Nikahetiya, and Indian fashion designer Sagardeep Singh. It is currently being led by Michael Pal, Director of the Austrian Cultural Forum.

In addition to being the highest, the display is extremely stunning with Disko Valley as a backdrop. The exhibition is also easily accessible because of its proximity to Leh. Site-specific installations are part of the immersive experience it provides. These are created using materials that are recyclable or renewable.
