The Dubai Frame is the newest landmark of Dubai that lets you see the past, present & future. 

What Is It?

Dubai Frame is an addition to Dubai’s kitty of record-breaking structures. Located in Zabeel Park, the frame comprises of 2 towers, 150m each connected by a 93m long bridge at the top. It was designed by award-winning architect Fernando Donis, who also designed Dubai’s Porsche Design Towers, and the Dubai Renaissance Tower. It is estimated that the project is worth AED 160 million.

Its glass bottomed sky deck flaunts a 360-degree view of both old and new Dubai. A museum on its lower floor showcases Dubai’s journey from a humble fishing village to the global microcosm it has grown to today and a futuristic prediction of what Dubai will look like in 2050.

Dubai Frame is open daily from 9am to 9pm and costs AED 50 for adults & AED 20 for kids. Dubai Frame was constructed using 2000 tons of steel 2,900 sq m of laminated glass.

What’s In It?

How do you expect to see the past, present and future of the city? Here’s all that you need to know.

Old Dubai: Starting from the mezzanine level the visitors experience the old Dubai, that is the projections, mist effects, smells, and motion that creates a mood for the setting of historical Dubai. The Past Gallery describes the project and tells the story of city’s evolution and the old city.

Present Dubai: Visitors are taken to the second experience on the Sky deck level representing the present Dubai. They experience 360 degree views of Dubai, “Old Dubai” to the north, and “New Dubai” to the south. This is supported by augmented reality activated screens, by which the visitors can identify buildings and landmarks and exploring interesting facts or observing buildings and landmarks. Also a glass floor 48 floors above the ground waits for the brave.

Future Dubai: Finally the visitors exit the elevator onto the mezzanine floor and pass through a swirl tunnel with special audio and visual effects. The idea is to create an illusion of time travel through a warp swirl and arriving into the city 50 years ahead.
