It Takes Around Seven Minutes To Sanitise The Entire Coach Using The UV Apparatus

Taking inspiration from New York Metro’s experiment, the Lucknow Metro has launched a DRDO-certified UV sanitisation apparatus to sanitise coaches with more efficiency and speed. The disinfection process takes seven minutes per coach, but the authorities are sanitising every coach for fifteen minutes as added care. According to a Hindustan Times report, UPMRC Managing Director Kumar Keshav said, “Passenger safety and comfort has always been our topmost priority and whatever we do is in sync with our objective to provide the safest and the most convenient mode of public transport to the people.” Lucknow is also installing smart cameras to read women’s troubled expressions and alert police.
