After the latest partial solar eclipse, it’s time for the Lunar eclipse on November 8, 2022. A total lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, earth, and moon are aligned. During this complete Chandra Grahan, the Moon enters the darkest part of the Earth’s shadow called Umbra. According to reports, this total Lunar eclipse will be visible in India and various other Asian countries.

Also, according to reports, this will be the last lunar eclipse of 2022 and the next one will be seen in 2025. In one of their recent tweets, NASA confirmed that for the next 2-3 years, there will not be a full Lunar eclipse. Yes, only partial and penumbral lunar eclipses will be seen for the next two to three years.

According to the website timeanddate.com, the lunar eclipse will occur on Tuesday, November 8th. The lunar eclipse will begin on November 8th at 5:32 PM and end at 6:48 PM. That means it will stay for around 45 minutes.

The total lunar eclipse will be visible over Northern/Eastern Europe, Asia, Australia, North America, South America, Antarctica, and the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans. And, particularly in India, it will be seen in Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna, Siliguri, and Ranchi. It might also be visible in parts of New Delhi and in some other parts of the country.

If the sky is clear, the lunar eclipse can be seen from anywhere on Earth. Some places see the entire eclipse, while others see the moon rising and setting during the eclipse.

A total lunar eclipse is also called a blood moon or red moon because it appears reddish. This occurs when red wavelengths of sunlight pass through the Earth’s atmosphere and reach the surface of the Moon. It is quite a sight to behold!
