Disruptive behaviours of passengers on flights have increased in recent times. Several people who faced this kind of incident took to X and other social media sites to report them. Recently, a Malayalam actress, Divya Prabha, took to Instagram and shared her experience of facing harassment on an Air India flight from Mumbai to Kochi.

A male passenger on board an Air India flight headed for Kochi is accused of harassing Malayalam actress Divya Prabha, according to a police report. The event happened on Tuesday during the flight out of Mumbai. The actress said that the suspected passenger was “inebriated and disruptive” on her social media page on Tuesday night.
She shared an Instagram post sharing the details of this disturbing event. According to the post, she faced harassment by a fellow passenger who was intoxicated. She further shared that she reported the incident to the air hostess, however, the only action that was taken was relocating the actress to another seat just before the take-off. She shared that no other action was taken against the perpetrator.

She shared that the man had started arguing with her regarding the seat’s location and it held no logic. In fact, the individual also started with inappropriate touching and misbehaving.
She Filed A Complaint
After landing in Kochi, she was directed to the police aid outside the airport after she complained to the Air India office staff. She was provided with an email to file the formal complaint. She shared this incident in order to bring the attention of the authorities towards the need for safety while travelling.
The actress hasn’t been the only one to face such a horrifying incident. Earlier in September, a man who took a flight from here to Guwahati on IndiGo was turned over to the Guwahati police upon arrival for reportedly sexually abusing another passenger.
Another incident reported that a 40-year-old man on an AirAsia flight headed for Goa was detained at the airport in Bengaluru for intimidating a flight attendant.

The incident happened just before the plane took off for Goa on September 13.
