That Manoj Bajpayee is an extremely talented actor, we are all aware. In a recent interview with Aaj Tak, he opened up about some hard-hitting topics. During the interview, he opened up about his relationship with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He revealed that during Sonchiriya’s shoot, the two had developed quite a bond.
Manoj Bajpayee Cooked Mutton On Sonchiriya Sets & Sushant Singh Rajput Enjoyed It
The interview covered quite a range of topics. While speaking of Sushant Singh Rajput, he fondly recalled the memories of shooting Sonchiriya with him. He revealed that they developed quite a bond. He recalled speaking to him about the good and the bad of the Bollywood industry.
He even recalled speaking to the actor about his worries regarding the industry’s malpractices. He said that such things would always deeply impact the young actor. Despite this, Bajpayee never thought that he’d take such a drastic step.
He even fondly recalled the time during the shoot of Sonchiriya when he’d cook mutton on sets. He said that Sushant Singh Rajput would always be in attendance when it came to relishing his mutton. Bajpayee also stated that he was personally impacted by his sudden and unexpected demise.
The Young Actor Wanted To Be A Star
During the interview, Bajpayee also revealed that Rajput had a lot of love for him. However, what he wanted out of his career was very different from what Bajpayee achieved. Manoj Bajpayee said that the kind of films he likes to do are offbeat and don’t have as much commercial value, so there isn’t much competition there.
However, Sushant Singh Rajput wanted to be a star and there’s a lot of competition there. He even opened up about some of the challenges that he faced. Bajpayee said that Rajput couldn’t handle the politics and groupism of the industry and that’s what took a toll on him ultimately.
