From a chocolate truck tour to desks in a park, here is what is happening across Dubai and Qatar today.

GCC Updates For Today

1. Horlicks Chocolate Hits the Road in Dubai

Horlicks has launched its new Chocolate flavour in the UAE with “Good Sips Only”, a mobile truck activation aimed at 8 to 25-year-olds. The drink contains 27 vital nutrients, is Halal certified and supports bones, muscles, energy release and vision. The truck stops at Dubai Knowledge Park on 2 November (2pm to 6pm), City Walk on 3 and 4 November (11am to 6pm), Dubai Academic City on 5 November (10am to 6pm), DAMAC Community on 6 November (4pm to 9pm) and Ripe Market on 7 and 8 November (10am to 6pm). Expect a Plinko game, a Sip Station where you pick hot or cold, and a Mirror Moment photobooth. Every guest leaves with a tote bag, a sticker sheet and a bottle of Chocolate Horlicks.

2. Dubai Gets Its First Work-From-Park Hub

Dubai Municipality has opened its first flagship Work-from-Park destination at Al Barsha Pond Park, developed with AMANA Group and Letswork. Outdoor desks are free to use, while indoor co-working spaces can be booked. The modular workspaces are built to high sustainability standards, and more parks will get the concept through the year.

3. Ejari and DEWA Now Sit in One App

Dubai Land Department has upgraded the DubaiNow app so tenants and landlords can create, register, renew and cancel Ejari contracts in one place. The certificate is issued as soon as the contract is approved, and tenants can pay their DEWA security deposit to activate electricity and water within the same process. Both parties verify through UAE PASS. In the first quarter of 2026, Dubai registered 118,385 new rental contracts and 135,607 renewals.

4. Qatar Announces Its National Day Slogan

Qatar’s 2026 National Day slogan is “You Are the Nation’s Treasure”, unveiled by Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Culture and chairman of the organising committee. It draws on the address by the late Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani when he handed power to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. This is the first National Day since his passing.
