Residents of the UAE increasingly ordered groceries at 4 AM during Ramadan as compared to other months. This was shown in the figures released by Careem, which is a local app. People who are fasting have their pre-dawn meal called Suhoor, and this is eaten before the call to prayer at 5 AM. As a result, a lot of people ordered food before this. The Big Feast from McDonald’s and the Plain Paratha from Punjab Flower Restaurant were the most popular choices, as revealed in a report by Khaleej Times. During Iftar, which is when the fast is broken at dusk, the UAE residents mostly ordered eight-piece wings meal from Wingstop in Dubai and Haleem from Ritaj restaurant in Abu Dhabi.
