The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has introduced multi-purpose vans in Mumbai that will enable Mumbaikars to easily pay all their utility bills. The service will begin on April 7 and the first van will be operating in South Mumbai.  The vans will move all around the island city allowing people to pay the bills.

All Utility Bills Can Be Paid Here

Mumbaikars will be allowed to pay a range of utility bills from the multipurpose vans. They can easily pay prepaid and postpaid mobile bills, electricity, gas, school fees, telephone landline, cable, internet, broadband, insurance premium, water, DTH, buy/renew FastTag, municipal taxes and bills, property taxes, housing society charges, etc. from the van itself. They can pay these bills through cash and digital ways such as debit cards, credit cards, UPI and RuPay.

Operational For 12 Hours

The Best Officials stated that there will be 5 Vans in service eventually. These vans will move around the city and be parked at designated areas for a particular duration. The timings are yet to be finalized, but the vans will be operational for 12 hours nearly from 8 am to 7-8 pm. The timetable will also state the location where the vans will be parked.
