Mumbai’s BEST Announces Diwali Bonanza; Offers 5 Trips On Any Route For ₹9

The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking on Tuesday announced a one-time Diwali offer. This mega offer allows a passenger to take five trips on any route for just ₹9 and is valid for seven days. The offer aims to encourage digital bus travel and make passengers well-versed in the concept of e-tickets. This offer is exclusively available for BEST mobile application users and is available from 12 October 2022 to 31 October 2022.

A BEST spokesperson explained to avail of the offer through the application. All you have to do is:

  • Download the BEST Chalo App and look for ‘Diwali offer’ under the Bus Pass section.
  • Enter your details as asked. And purchase the offer by making an online payment of ₹9. The payment made is entirely cashless and paperless. It can be done via UPI, debit/ credit card, net banking or any other suitable option.
  • Once you board the bus, don’t forget to click the option— Start a trip.
  • Next, you need to validate your trip by placing your phone on the ticket machine. On successful validation, a digital receipt of the trip will be sent to the app.

Important Things To Note:

  • You need to download the BEST mobile application which is only applicable if you are an app user.
  • The offer starts on 12 October 2022 and is valid till 31 October 2022.
  • This offer is valid on both AC and non-AC buses.
  • The offer is available only for passengers who have never purchased a Super Saver Plan or a digital ticket on the BEST App before.
  • The offer is not valid on special buses on airport routes, Hop-on Hop-off buses etc.

BEST recently recorded its highest daily count of 35 lakh daily rides, which is 9 per cent higher than pre-COVID statistics. The transport undertaking earlier rolled out a ₹1 Freedom Offer for Independence Day. Moreover, a Ganesh Utsav offer for Ganesh Chaturthi and the Dusshera Offer during Navratri. This way BEST recorded more than 12 lakh digital trips, thus, encouraging Mumbaikars to buy e-tickets.
