Get Up, Dress Up & Glamm Up Before You Show Up

Fancy A Salon Experience At The Comfort of Your Home?

The latest one to join the bandwagon in namma Bengaluru is MyGlamm, a Sanghvi Brands initiative who also own the franchise for L’occitane Spas, Warren-Tricomi Salons and Elle Salons in India.

If you’re not already a fan of the new era of at-home beauty services, its time you give it a shot because this one will certainly convert you into one! Personally, I love the idea of the convenience it brings with it. Also, I’m either too busy or too lazy to walk down to my parlour to get waxed or threaded!

A quick look at their catalogue of services and I was already impressed! Why? Well, their wide range of premium services included Permanent Eyelash Extensions and HD Brow Treatments. Of course, they also have the regular stuff – waxing, threading, manicures, and pedicures.

So, since I was in a mood to pamper myself silly, I went right ahead and booked myself an appointment! I picked Forest Essentials Facial and a Moroccan Oil Hair Spa over the weekend.

The beautician arrived a little late but wasted no time from there on. She quickly briefed me on what she planned to do and then got on to setting up for the Forest Essential Clean Up.

1. Forest Essential Clean Up

The facial started with her analyzing my skin to figure out my skin type. It’s important to know your skin type for getting the best results.

She then started the Clean Up by applying a cleanser. It helps to remove the extra oil. Then began the heavy duty scrubbing for which she used the Jasmine and Patchouli Scrub. The scrub felt warm as she stroked my face to ensure every little inch was covered. Post scrubbing, it was time for a steam followed by blackhead removal. This was followed by a good 15-minute face massage with Sandalwood and Saffron Cream.

Lastly, she applied a pack – the Purifying Natural Yoghurt Masque. My face felt slightly burning but the results were quite satisfying. By the end of it, I was left with a clean and soft skin.

For a cleanup, it is a bit expensive. But Forest Essential products are organic and the after-effects are totally worth it. So if are in a mood to indulge or if you are allergic to chemical products, invest in this.

2. Moroccan Oil Hair Spa

It was now time to give my dull, frizzy hair new life. She began by towel drying my hair (Yep, I had just washed it.). Soon after, she followed up with a good 15-20 minute rigorous massage with a mixture of Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask and Moroccan Oil Treatment (Argan oil). The massage was so de-stressing that I didn’t want it to stop! Next, she sprayed steam. 5-7 mins later she asked me to rinse the mixture without shampooing. After rinsing, she blow-dried my hair to half dry and that was it! My hair felt smooth and so much more in control.

Tip: Getting a hair spa done at home may not be a great idea. It involves a lot of hair washing which I found to be quite troublesome. If you don’t have help standing under the shower with hair upside down can be painful.

Shampooing my hair just before the treatment was a bummer. A heads up by my beautician would’ve been great.

Verdict:

If you’re looking for a premium service at the comfort of your own home, go for it. Their wide range of services come with attractive offers for you to try. We give it a 3.8 out of 5 stars.
