Neeraj Chopra Played A Fun Game With Us

We started the delightful day with Neeraj Chopra by discussing his relationship with food. He revealed that he is a true desi at heart and loves to indulge in the basic and traditional cuisine of his village. To turn this conversation into a fun one, we decided to play ‘Never Have I Ever’ with him, and you can certainly imagine how fun it must have been.

In the first scenario, we asked him if he had ever accidentally set something on fire. Well, he has! He shared that he hasn’t set anything big on fire but often gets his chai and daliya burned. We related to him all the more when he said that he gets too distracted by his phone and forgets about the tea boiling out of the pan. He revealed some more interesting instances from his life during this game and shed more light on him as a person.

Neeraj Chopra, a gold-medal athlete, admitted that he learned about the javelin somewhat later in life. However, he had always been interested in sports. He enjoyed playing cricket and volleyball with his friends when he was a kid. He explained how he first became interested in javelin throwing. Neeraj shared that he went to a stadium to participate in some sports for exercise and noticed some of his buddies throwing the javelin there. As soon as he tried it, he recognised how passionate he was about it and that he wanted to make a career out of that interest.
