The Skytrax World Airport Awards has released the list of the World’s Best Airports for 2024. Surprisingly, Singapore Changi Airport has not bagged the first place this year. Instead, Doha’s Hamad International Airport is the World’s Best Airport 2024!
Doha’s Hamad International Airport Is The World’s Best Airport 2024
The World Airport Awards, which took place on April 17, 2024, at Frankfurt’s Passenger Terminal EXPO, announced that Doha’s Hamad International Airport was the World’s Best Airport of 2024. It was also acknowledged as the Best Airport in the Middle East and the World’s Best Airport Shopping.
Singapore Changi Airport, the 2023 Airport of the Year and 12-time winner, came in second in the world rankings and took home prizes for the Best Airport in Asia and the Best Airport Immigration Service Worldwide. Seoul Incheon Airport was crowned the World’s Most Family Friendly Airport for 2024. The airport rose to third position in the global poll rankings.
Tokyo Haneda Airport, which came in at number four in the world, continued to produce excellent results, winning awards for being the cleanest, best domestic airport, and airport with the best PRM and accessible facilities. A few more highlights from the 2024 ceremony included Tokyo Narita Airport winning awards for best airport staff in Asia and the world for customer service. Further, this is the first time that Rome Fiumicino Airport has won the title of World’s Best Airport Security Processing.
A significant achievement for Bahrain International Airport was being named the Middle East’s Best Airport Staff Service. The Medina Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport has been named the Middle East’s Best Regional Airport. As for the hotel, it was bagged by the Hilton Munich Airport, the Best Airport Hotel in Europe for 2024.
