The beaches here are gorgeous and secluded, yet unexplored be it the Konark Beach or the Gopalpur Beach. Now with the shacks being set up by the beaches, you have a great reason to plan a beach hliday in Odisha.
What’s In It?
Beach Shacks will be set up in Odisha for the very first time by Odisha’s Marine Drive-Eco Retreat. Visitors will be provided with the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beach and the scenery around. The beach shacks will be built by the Odisha Government to promote tourism in the state. The beach shacks will have a refreshing ambience along with delectable food, chilled alcohol, great music and most of all, the backdrop of white sands and gushing waves.

For now, there will be 4 shacks which will be open from 8 am to 11 pm. These shacks will be open to everyone who wants to visit the Marine Drive-Eco Retreat from December 18, 2019, to January 31, 2020. Visitors will also get the chance to experience a great cultural retreat and a sound and light show, held every day at 6 pm.

Vishal K Dev, the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Odisha Tourism Department stated that the beach shacks are very popular not only amongst the youth but even among families. The main objective behind building these shacks is to give visitors other than the in house guests, a chance to experience the Marine Drive-Eco Retreat and the beach. Vishal K Dev also added that with Christmas and New Year around the corner, they are expecting the spot to be crowded with more visitors. Well, we just love beaches and shacks.
