A regular attendee at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has captivated audiences and media alike with her stunning appearances on the red carpet. Her Cannes appearances have become eagerly anticipated, as she consistently brings glamour and sophistication to the event. However, her Cannes 2023 look sparked a meme fest across the Internet.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Cannes 2023 Look Was Really Trolled

On May 18, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan graced the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2023 in a massive silver-hooded gown. She looked stunning in a shimmering silver gown from Sophie Couture. The gown included a structured big hood that covered the actor’s head, as well as an oversized black bow that tied it all together.

However, fans were quick to troll the actor’s appearance, comparing it to being gift-wrapped or having ‘paratha sticking out from silver foil’.  However, several trolls used her outfit as fodder for their jokes. The food wrapped in aluminium foil meme template was definitely recurring on Twitter.

In the comment section below, one netizen wrote: “Paratha wrapped in aluminium foil”, whereas another social media user shared, “She looks like a walking solar panel trying to get energy from the sun.”

The aluminium foil memes really took over, “Why is Aishwarya Rai dressed like a mermaid preserved in silver foil?” wrote a user. Some even compared her look to a fortune cookie and also a foil-wrapped Lebanese shawarma.

She clearly hasn’t disappointed at least the Internet and the meme makers with her look. From comparing several food items to gift wraps, her look at Cannes is giving a good laugh all around.

Earlier that day, Aishwarya left everybody stunned with her first look from the fest, in a Valentino outfit. She was seen in an exquisite green cape dress, shimmering with elegance. To complement the outfit, she opted for striking clear PVC high heels.

Her Cannes 2022 Look Was Also A Meme Fest

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan first attended the Cannes Film Festival in the year 2002. Since then, she has made an array of remarkable fashion statements at the annual editions of the coveted event.

For Cannes 2022, the actor walked the red carpet in a voluminous black gown with 3D flowers attached to it.  While a section of the internet did approve of Aishwarya’s dramatic Dolce & Gabanna gown and admired her look, there were others who thought she wasn’t at her red carpet best.
