Coldplay, Coldplay, and Coldplay: We have discussed this iconic band in the last 24 hours more than we talked about it in our entire life. With extreme eagerness, patience, and excitement, we sat with multiple mobiles, laptops, and other devices to buy tickets. However, our reality did not even come an inch close to expectations. In between all the social media posts, an X account dropped a bomb revealing uncertain information about a Coldplay concert at Narendra Modi Stadium. Is this factual or fake? Let’s find out.
Is Coldplay Hosting A New Concert At Narendra Modi Stadium?
Taking to the X platform, Coldplay India (@_ColdplayIndia_) asked Netizens to stay tuned for a new announcement.

It was on September 16 when this account posted a few shots of the iconic stadium in Ahmedabad and asked if it is possible to “create a world record for the largest stadium concert attendance at the Modi Stadium.” With an impressive seating capacity of 1,32,000 spectators, this is the world’s largest stadium. Famous for hosting high-octane and nail-biting cricket matches, including the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup, Netizens are talking about it for different reasons.
Considering India’s population and the presence of Coldplay fans, only three shows at the DY Patil Sports Stadium are simply not enough. Social media users are demanding more shows, preferably in bigger venues. Though this Navi Mumbai stadium is India’s ninth-largest cricket stadium, people want bigger grounds to accommodate more fans.
With the skyrocketing demand for more Coldplay concerts and tickets in India, many are suggesting the concerned departments and authorities host at least one show at the Narendra Modi Stadium. It has the biggest seating capacity and the on-ground standing arena is vast as well. From posts on X to Instagram reels, multiple posts are making rounds stating the Coldplay team’s arrival in Ahmedabad. However, this is fake news. Neither BookMyShow nor Coldplay has announced anything about a new concert in this city in Gujarat.
Netizens React To The Assumptions
Many Coldplay fans are still hopeful about new shows in India. Responding to the unofficial announcement about Coldplay shows in Ahmedabad, X users suggested Zomato Live to handle the ticket booking procedure. BookMyShow has been receiving flak for the sudden site crash. From judging the platform’s capability to blaming them for similar incidents in the past, users are clearly unhappy with the ticket-selling approach. Here’s how they are reacting.
Yes please and we don’t want bookmyshow to be the next ticketing partner , they have messed things up way too many times.

Make it official please. Also don’t sell through BMS. We deserve a better ticketing system.

Make those tickets non transferable so that genuine fans get those and able to witness surreal experience.

One more thing tickets booking should give it to @zomato and make it non transferable.
Fingers crossed 🤞— तेजस शिंदे (@tejasshinde002) September 23, 2024
