5 Reasons Why You Should NEVER Eat Salads For Dinner

Salads are a great way to consume loads of leafy veggies together. In addition to its natural taste, crunchy texture, great colour, and aroma, eating large amounts of fresh raw vegetables every day provide excellent health benefits. But, do you ever wonder, what’s the best time to eat salads? I’ve come across many people who replace their dinner meals with a salad bowl to stay healthy. However, eating salads for dinner is not right at all. Here’s why you should never consume salads at night.

1. Difficult To Digest

Digestion is active in the morning and slows down in the evening. Raw foods are difficult to process and consume more energy. If the body cannot process the digestion of food quickly, the fermentation process begins in the stomach. In addition to the risk of illness, the internal fermentation process also negatively affects sleep, making it difficult to wake up fresh.

2.  Makes A Victim Of Obesity And Diabetes

Doctors and nutrition experts believe that the foods used in salads have a very high water content, which negatively affects the human digestive system. It causes fatty liver and indigestion. Because of this, their metabolic rate begins to slow down, making them victims of obesity and diabetes.

3. Leads To Bloating

People who have trouble in digesting raw vegetables may feel bloated or uncomfortable after eating salads. Consuming cruciferous veggies like cabbage, kale, and broccoli for dinner can easily lead to bloating on the next day.

4. Leaves You Unsatisfied

Many beginners replace their meals with salads believing that consuming less will eventually help them lose weight. However, just having a bowl of salad for dinner can keep you full for a few hours. And eating less doesn’t mean starving yourself. In fact, this slows down your metabolism and can lead to weight gain in the long run.
