After you pick your coupon at the counter, the staff guides you to your seat. They wait for the room to somewhat fill up before they start serving. But don’t worry, the wait isn’t too long. Even before you can get impatient to have your meal, the servings begin. That’s how popular they are! And it’s not surprising, as you will soon discover.
Served in stages, the thali is a smorgasbord of multiple flavours. To begin with, the sparkling steel plates are piled with fresh and hot puris and a vegetable sagoo, and a dry vegetable tossed with grated coconut. This is followed by their mini masala dosas, loaded with ghee, and complemented with a spicy chutney. Next up is a serving of sweet Pongal featuring grated coconut and dry fruits, Vangi Bath, and rice served with a yummy, hot sambhar. You finish the meal with cool curd rice and a serving of fruit salad. It’s sold at Rs 271!
