Ropeway Connecting Sukhanda Devi Temple Gets Stuck Mid-Air
BJP MLA Kishore Upadhyay and 59 people were stranded in a ropeway for 45 minutes. That ropeway ferries devotees to Sukhanda Devi temple in Uttarakhand’s Mussoorie. The shocking incident occurred when the devotees paid their respects to the divine at the temple and were returning back. Stuck for over 45 minutes, the BJP MLA revealed to ANI that being stranded mid-air was a serious issue. While they were all rescued, the MLA revealed that he shall discuss the incident with ropeway authorities and concerned officials to ensure this never happens again.

Ropeways Across India To Be Surveyed To Prevent Disasters
According to an ANI report, NDRF Director General (DG) Atul Karwal revealed that there are over 50 such ropeway systems in India to transport pilgrims, passengers and tourists. So, they are conducting surveys to understand these operations and take remedial actions. Preparations will be taken to tackle such emergencies and unforeseeable disasters in the near future.
