Kedarnath, the abode of the mighty Lord Shiva is one of the holy shrines of India. It is one of the Char Dhams that is said to be a holy pilgrimage to four temples. The temple of Lord Shiva in Kedarnath is so not easy to reach and also takes hours. But not anymore, the process of building a ropeway to connect Kedarnath has begun with which the devotees now will be able to visit the abode conveniently.

A Ropeway To Increase Connectivity To Kedarnath

Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for ropeways leading to Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib are now available. Tourism is crucial for generating employment and income for the people of Uttarakhand. The union government plans to build ropeway lines across the state to promote connectivity, particularly at the main tourist sites. This will speed up pilgrims’ access to the Kedarnath shrine in Rudraprayag. From Sonprayag to Kedarnath, they will be able to travel by ropeway in just 60 minutes.
