Singapore Reopens For Travellers From 9 Countries, UAE Not On The List

Singapore is set to relax Covid rules for travellers from a few countries by the end of October. The country’s tourism board announced that tourists from the UK, the US, Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain will be permitted to visit the island nation from 18 October. South Korea will also join the list from 15 November. As of now these are the countries that will be permitted. UAE has not yet made it to the list.

What Are The Rules For Those Travelling To Singapore?

The above mentioned countries have been added to Singapore’s Vaccinated Travel Lane scheme, which means fully-vaccinated visitors can travel for tourism purposes. Tourist visas for Singapore will open on 12 October, and travellers must apply at least seven days before they fly. Travellers and all others arriving under the new rules will no longer need to take a day 3 and day 7 Covid-19 PCR test.

What Are The Documents Needed To Travel To Singapore?

In order to fly to Singapore you must be vaccinated with both doses of an accepted vaccine.

What Vaccines Are Permitted In Singapore?

Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Janssen, Sinopharm and Sinovac are permitted in Singapore.

What Are The Rules For Short-Terms Visitors Travelling To Singapore?

Singapore’s Air Travel Pass scheme also permits short-term visitors from Hong Kong, Macao, China and Taiwan. All travellers must use the self-help tool to find out which SafeTravel Lanes you may use to travel to Singapore, and the corresponding lane requirements. Short term visitors must also have travel insurance for any possible Covid-19-related medical treatment, with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Singapore dollars ($22,135).

Well, UAE Residents and citizens who wish to visit Singapore must wait for longer as the country has not made to Singapore’s initial phase of reopening.
