To increase connectivity between Sri Lanka and India, the SriLankan Airlines has introduced a double daily flight service. It will operate between Mumbai and Colombo—here are the details!
SriLankan Airlines Introduces Double Daily Flights Between Colombo & Mumbai
With the addition of two daily flights between Colombo and Mumbai, SriLankan Airlines has increased the convenience for travellers arriving at and departing from India’s financial and entertainment hub. In addition to increasing SriLankan’s capacity on its Mumbai route by 50%, the additional double daily service will fortify the airline’s existing extensive network in India.
Daily departures from Mumbai to Colombo, at 3:10 and 20:45 hours, respectively, will be made by flights UL 142 and UL 144. From Colombo to Mumbai, flights UL 141 and UL 143 will take off at 23:45 and 17:10, respectively.
More flight options to Colombo and easy connections via Colombo to well-known locations in the Far East, Europe, and Australia, such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Melbourne, and Sydney, are now available to SriLankan Airlines passengers departing from Mumbai.
According to Dimuthu Tennakoon, Head of Worldwide Sales and Distribution of SriLankan Airlines, since its founding, SriLankan Airlines has placed a high value on the Indian market. As the country quickly rises to prominence among the global outbound travel markets, we are delighted to expand our operations into one of India’s most renowned cities and provide extra-smooth travel between Mumbai and Colombo.
Following Sri Lanka’s announcement of a free visa for Indian tourists, we are increasing our frequency in the hopes that these encouraging developments may inspire more Mumbai travellers to visit Sri Lanka.
Other Routes Which Connect The Countries
The only nation with nine cities in the network of SriLankan Airlines is India. This encompasses not just Mumbai but also Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Trivandrum, Chennai, Trichy, and Madurai, to which SriLankan collectively offers about 100 weekly flights.
The majority of Indians are likely to discover a warm familiarity in Sri Lanka due to the two nations’ close closeness in terms of geography and culture. SriLankan Airlines is the greatest option for Indians who wish to have the best of both worlds while travelling. Guests can enjoy the warmth and friendliness that are representative of Sri Lanka and its national carrier, along with delectable Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine.
Interline Agreement With Virgin Australia:
Following the public announcement of a similar deal with Emirates on September 19, the new alliance was unveiled late last week. On September 28, SriLankan Airlines declared that it had partnered with Virgin Australia on an interline agreement for the first time.
Currently operating flights between Australia and Sri Lanka, SriLankan Airlines (SriLankan) regards the new interline agreement as a demonstration of its dedication to the market and as a means of fortifying its operations both within Australia and internationally.
Customers of SriLankan will find it convenient to manage a multi-airline itinerary under a single ticket and add specific domestic or international Virgin Australia connections to their SriLankan booking.
From Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, SriLankan travels to Melbourne every day and to Sydney three times a week.
