A high altitude resort for all seasons, Stone Hedge – Nubra Valley is situated in the Ladakh Range of the Himalayas. Stone Hedge was built to not only satisfy aesthetic desires but also to foster ecotourism and responsible architecture. This bio reserve provides an excellent opportunity to explore sustainability. Recently their efforts were recognized and the resort won Indian Responsible Tourism Awards 2022. 

Harmony With Nature

The resort is built on the concept of vernacular and green architecture. The resort features a deluxe suite, 15 rooms, an open-air cafe, a restaurant and meeting rooms. Wastewater is recycled for sanitary purposes and used for the large kitchen garden and landscaping thanks to the hotel’s unique waste management system. The resort is the first one to make the most use of renewable resources and have a centralised heating system.

Local And Organic Produce

Herbs, milk, cheese, butter, vegetables, etc. are either organically grown or locally sourced and used in making authentic dishes for the guests. Home-baked bread, apricot juices, filter coffee and freshly plucked paper mint tea are also served here.

A Symbol Of Responsible Tourism

Embroiderers, weavers, and mud-brick makers from the region worked on the project of the look and feel of the resort, which features an attractive aesthetic. The Stone Hedge is a symbol of responsible, eco-conscious, sustainable, and inspirational tourism for the region.
