The summer season is already here and with this travel enthusiasts are planning to go on vacations and explore new destinations. But travel plans might take a turn for many. There is a chance domestic air tickets may witness a surge in the coming summer vacation weeks. The cost of flight tickets is already high and this additional hike can turn out to be trouble for many people. If you are wondering the reason behind the sudden rise in domestic flight ticket prices, here are the reasons.
Here’s Why Domestic Flight Tickets Might Increase!
We are all aware of the increase in oil prices. Oil prices have increased exponentially leading to a hike in flight tickets, be it domestic or international. And amid all these, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation(DGCA) stated that airlines have decided to operate lesser flights during the summer season. The number of domestic flights will be less than that of the last year. The reasons behind taking this decision are not just due to extremely expensive oil prices but also the very restricted capacity of many airports.
