Swiggy Launches Pawlice Service To Find Lost Pets Using Driver Network & Announces Leaves For Pet Parents Employees

On April 11, Swiggy introduced a new initiative for employees who are pet parents. Yes, and it coincides with the fact that April 11 is celebrated as National Pet Day. An initiative that is designed to provide comprehensive support to employees, who are pet parents, it introduced three new types of leaves and it sounds quite fantastic. But, that’s not all, it also introduced Swiggy Pawlice, which basically helps to find lost pets!

Swiggy Pawlice For Lost Pets

Swiggy is doing everything in its power to help pet parents. Yes, this not just includes its employees who are pet parents, but also society at large. A pioneering on-demand convenience platform, it has launched an exciting feature, called Swwiggy Pawlice. For those who aren’t aware, this feature was launched in the presence of Shantanu Naidu, General Manager, Tata Trusts, House of the Chairman, and other pet parents.

How Does This Work?

So, if you’re wondering about how this initiative works, all one needs to do is report their missing pets through the Swiggy App. And for this, they will have to provide all the necessary details and pictures. After this, the Swiggy delivery Network of 3.5 lakh delivery partners will lend a helping hand to those in need through their strategic positioning. As it happens, a dedicated team will be informed if the delivery partner spots a missing pet, by providing the details and location.

Once this information has been relayed, the team will be sharing the details with the pet parents. This will inturn allow them to visit the location and hopefully reunite with their beloved pets. It’s worth mentioning that the partners have been told not to retrieve the pets themselves. So, partners who go above and beyond to reunite the lost pets with their parents, they will be rewarded with tons of appreciation.

Swiggy Introduces Leaves For Pet Parents

The initiative comes after the company introduced three new types of leaves for its employees. They are as follows –

• New Pet/Adoption Leave allows the employees to take an additional paid day off. And yes, this leave is in addition to their annual leave entitlement for welcoming new pets at home.
• Sick Leave now allows pet parents to use their casual or sick leave. They can use them without hesitation to attend to the needs of their sick pets. They can even use the leave to get their routine vaccinations.
• Bereavement Leave allows people to say goodbye to their beloved companions and now covers them, apart from the family as well.

Doesn’t it all sound like a great way to appreciate these four companions who form an integral part of one’s life?
