Hollongi will be the first destination in Arunachal Pradesh on IndiGo’s network. With the addition of Hollongi, the airline will have 75 destinations on its 6E network. Arunachal Pradesh is a northeastern state with immense tourism potential. The Donyi Polo airport will improve air connectivity between Arunachal and other parts of India. This, in turn, can bring more tourists to the state. The airport will have eight check-in counters and a 2,300-metres-long runway. It covers an area of nearly 4100 square metres.

The name of the airport has a beautiful meaning. Donyi means sun, and polo means moon.
