Shamita Shetty’s Memories In Chembur 

While Shamita Shetty takes us through her gullies, she goes down memory lane. The Bollywood actress remembers that her idea of peace was coming down to this iconic church in Chembur in the evening. Since Kamiya is also from Chembur, the duo agrees that this is one of the iconic landmarks of Chembur, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church. The OLPS Church, also famous as Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, is on St. Anthony’s Road in Chembur, Mumbai. Do you know this old church was established in the 1950s? Since it’s closed now, Shamita wishes it was open so she could sit there again. 

The Actress Speaks About Her Memories Associated With The Church

She tells us how every place near the church has a special memory associated with it. Shamita says, “There’s this little nursery here, which is still there. In this lane, this person used to make amazing yummy chocolate cakes. It’s become a building now. It used to be my chotu bungalow!” Shamita wishes that she and her sister, Shilpa Shetty, could come and have that cake again. Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Chruch had a unique appeal to it during Christmas. Shamita exclaims that when Kamiya brings up Christmas. She says, “Oh my god! It was beautiful. Yeah yeah, Christians used to go around in groups singing carols. They used to sell Easter eggs there as well.”

The duo later went to Shamita Shetty’s School, St Anthony’s, and talked about the OG Shetty sisters’ childhood. The Shetty sister spills the tea on how the sisters’ equation was before and after Shilpa’s marriage and about her diet while talking about some of her favourite food spots in Chembur.
