The POKÉMON with YOU Train was established in 2012 to restore smiles to kids in the Tohoku region. It was introduced as a step towards healing for kids who had been impacted by the tsunami and earthquake in 2011. The train previously had an assortment of Pokémon, but in July 2017, it had a makeover that gave it its current cheery Pikachu style. And we have to say, there is nothing that would bring joy to people.
This supremely cute train travels between Ichinoseki and Kesennuma on the JR Funato Line, which was severely damaged by the tsunami of 2011. It is rather difficult to miss because it can be seen from miles away thanks to its striking exterior covered in red and yellow.
No corner of this brilliant creation is void of the happiness and charm of Pokemon. Cute Pikachu and Pokéball motifs can be seen all around the train, on the seats, the doors to the restrooms, the flooring, and more. Pokémon shadows are also seen on the ceiling lights. Pikachu silhouettes and footprints are also used to decorate the walls, curtains, and chairs. This train appeals to Pokémon lovers of all ages, so you don’t have to be a kid to appreciate it.

Apart from the vibrant exterior and interior that will take you back to your days as a kid, the playroom on this train is the best part.
