Savour Delicious Cheese Cone Chaat Near Prime Arcade, Surat
Move over from Mumbai’s unique Flying Vada Pav and Indore’s Kulfi-Falooda prepared by a vendor donning gold jewellery, there’s another popular street food dish in town, and that’s Surat’s Cheese Cone Chaat. A small cart near Prime Arcade in Surat, Gujarat serves this wacky dish. This chaat involves filling deep-fried flour cones with a mixture of veggies like corn, onion and tomato. And then slathering it with mayo, spicy and tangy chutneys. Finally, this cone chaat is topped with oodles of stringy cheese that makes it truly cheesy and delicious.
Chole, Veggies, Sauces & Cheese Goes Into The Cheesy Cone Chaat
A video posted by Aamchi Mumbai, shows a vendor preparing it in full gusto. The vendor first sprinkles salt on a crispy cone. He then slathers it with a creamy sauce, spreading it evenly with a knife. Crispy sev is sprinkled on it. And a little bit of chole is filled in the cone. The vendor goes on to add crushed papdi, sliced onions, corn and chopped tomatoes. A pop of green, presumably mint chutney is poured into the cone, followed by a tangy mint chutney and creamy mayo. He adds another layer of flavoursome chole, papdi, veggies and sauces. The cone chaat is finally doused with oodles of cheese. And voila, Surat’s Cheesy Cone Chaat is ready! Well, you’d have to visit this stall near Prime Arcade post-pandemic, to savour it for yourself.
