Now, as we were planning a trip to Japan, one of her videos caught our attention, where she revealed how the weather varies across the country. So, note down how the weather varies across Japan between December and February and what to pack for your trip.

1. Hokkaido

This place in the north experiences heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures between December and February. So, if you’re including it in your itinerary, make sure to pack a thick down jacket, gloves, and snow boots to stay warm. Also, we recommend trying skiing here to add a little adventure to your winter trip.

2. Tokyo, Kyoto & Osaka

These famous places in Japan are often in everyone’s itinerary. During winter, here the temperatures stays around 5–10°C. Winters here are cold and dry, and snowfall is rare. You can comfortably explore these places by packing a warm winter coat and a scarf.

3. Okinawa

Compared to other parts of Japan, winters in the south are much milder. Temperatures here usually range between 15–20°C. So, you don’t have to carry a heavy winter coat while exploring this region. Just pack light jackets and sweaters to stay comfortable.
