On social media, several posts showing a Zomato notification after the ₹370 biryani controversy have gone viral. The image looked like an app notification from the food delivery platform and asked users if they wanted to order a “₹370 biryani.” To give some context, this controversy is linked to a remark made by Himanshu Jangra during Pranit More’s show, which had already sparked online backlash.

This Zomato notification has gone viral online, and many users who saw the post believed it was real. They even accused the company of making light of a sensitive issue for promotional purposes.

Online Food Delivery Company Responds To The Claims

After the notification went viral, Zomato reacted to the claims. Zomato strongly denied any involvement. Taking to their X handle, the company revealed that the notification was completely fake. The company stated clearly that it did not write, design, or send any such push alert. 

Zomato also shared an official statement image to clear the confusion. In its clarification, the company said, “Biryani is dinner, not consent,” and made it clear that the screenshot circulating online is fake and misleading.

The viral image had used Zomato’s brand colours and style, which made it appear authentic to many users. The fake message read in a casual tone, “Biryani bhej du…? 370 ki hai siff,” which further added to the misunderstanding.
