UAE Among Top 10 Nations For Covid-19 Treatment

An International study has ranked the UAE among the top-10 Covid treatment efficiency countries in the world. The survey conducted by Deep Knowledge Group, a UK based firm ranked UAE in the 10th position worldwide for efficiently treating Covid patients. In addition, the UAE also stood first among the Arab countries for providing efficient Covid treatment.

What’s In It?

Germany bagged the first spot, followed by China and South Korea. Austria, Hong Kong and Singapore came fourth, fifth and sixth in the Covid-19 treatment rankings, respectively. Well, we’re not surprised UAE made it to this list. The country has been hands-on in treating Covid patients.

Recently, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, launched a drive-through test centre for the coronavirus at Zayed Sports City on Saturday. With covid cases across the globe making an alarming increase,HH Sheikh Mohamed has now launched drive-through screening in Abu Dhabi.

This led to people wondering if similar centres will be opened across the UAE. It looks like someone heard their wish and now test centres will be set up across Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Al Ain and Al Dhafra over the next ten days. How amazing is that! The move clearly depicts our Ruler’s intention in providing the best for people to fight Covid 19. More information about the openings will be releases closed to the launch date.

What Else?

Additionally, in line with the precautions to curb coronavirus, the Dubai RTA has now released a new set of rules. The new rules ensure there is no overcrowding inside the metro. Here’s an overview of the new rules for Dubai Metro, taxis, trams and buses:

  • All passengers must wear a face mask while traveling by all public transport including taxis
  • Residents having a fever or flu symptoms are advised not to use public transport
  • Taxis and limousines are now restricted to only carry two passengers at a time, to ensure social distancing
  • Passengers must sit ONLY in alternate seats in metros, trams and buses. Besides, riders are strictly advised against sitting on seats marked with an ‘X’
  • Those standing in metros, trams or buses must maintain safe distance by staying on the demarcated floor stickers
