UAE Astronaut Shares Pic Of New Delhi From Space; Indians Thank Him & Others Have Requests   

India celebrated its 77th Independence Day on August 15 with great enthusiasm and pride. Wishes poured in from various countries as well on this special occasion. Similarly, the UAE too wished the country in its own special way. In a sweet gesture, the UAE astronaut shared a mesmerizing picture of India’s state from space and wished the citizens of the country a happy Independence Day. Take a look!

UAE Astronaut Shares Mesmerising Pic Of New Delhi

Sultan Al Neyadi, a UAE (United Arab Emirates) astronaut, wished Indians on the eve of Independence Day in a very sweet manner. He posted a stunning picture of India’s capital, New Delhi, on X (formerly known as Twitter).

This picture was not an ordinary one; it was taken at an altitude of 400 kilometres above the Earth from the International Space Station (ISS). The picture is simply mesmerising and brings a smile to every Indian’s face.

While posting this picture, he also greeted Indians with a Namaste in about 11 different languages. The languages included English, Malayalam, Urdu, Bangla, Odia, Assamese, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Punjabi.

Indian Netizens could not stop thanking him for such a special wish. They showered the comments section with hearts and ‘thank you’ messages. Some other netizens also had requests for this astronaut. One of them asked him to do push-ups in space.

India’s Tricolor was illuminated on the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, in Dubai (UAE) to mark the country’s 77th Independence Day. The Burj Khalifa’s official Instagram account posted a video of the building illuminated in the saffron, white, and green hues of India’s tricolor.

Along with a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, messages like “Happy 77th Independence Day To Mother India” and “Long Live India and UAE Friendship” were also projected on the skyscraper.

The Burj Khalifa is renowned for celebrating national holidays all across the world. On August 15, the nation’s Liberation Day, it even flashed the South Korean flag.
