UAE Bags The Title To Become The Most Desirable Country For 9th Year In The Row

The UAE has been winning several accolades for a while now. After attaining a top spot for Covid-19 testing, the country has now bagged the title of being the most desirable country for young Arabs to live. Well, this is not the first time that country is bagging this award, UAE has been consecutively winning this title for the past nine years.

The Arab Youth Survey Conducted The Poll For 4000 Young Arabs

The Arab Youth Survey conducted in 2020 states that safety, security and promise of higher salaries are among the chief reasons for the country’s continuing popularity. The annual poll took in the views of 4,000 young Arabs, between the ages of 18 and 24, across 17 states.

From the people who took part in the survey, more than half of them said that UAE was their number one country of choice to live. The recent figure is up from last year when 44 per cent opted for the UAE.

UAE Also Named As The Nation That Young Arabs Would Like Their Country to Mirror

In the same list, the US obtained the second position, UK and Canada tied for third, while Germany took fifth place. Besides that, UAE was also named as the nation that most young Arabs would like their country to emulate. It is according to 52 per cent of those who took part in the survey, compared to 42 per cent in 2019.

The key reason behind the UAE getting chosen as the most desirable country for young Arabs was safety and security, according to 44 per cent. While the range of work opportunities ranked second with 39 per cent, and fair salary packages were the third most popular reason.

Other reasons for the UAE’s popularity included the perception it was a good place to start a business, a welcoming environment for expats (both 24 per cent); having a high-quality education system (23 per cent); respect for cultural traditions with 20 per cent; and the nation’s strong cultural heritage (17 per cent).
