Members of World of Hyatt must install the World of Hyatt app. They can maintain their reservations and activate the mobile entry option through the app. When guests tap on a blue label with their hotel room and a “key,” the booking is confirmed. It follows an SMS with an activation code. When the guest enters the code, Bluetooth is turned on, so they can press it on their door to unlock it.
Guests of Hilton Honors have access to digital keys and several additional member-only perks. However, to do this, they must sign up for the Hilton Honors loyalty programme.
