Umm Al Quwain Announces Free PCR Tests For Citizens

In December 2020, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) had slashed the PCR testing prices from AED 150 to AED 85 for the UAE-ites. The tests which initially cost AED 370 is now available for AED 85 across all Seha testing centres. And now, the Primary Healthcare Department Of the Umm Al-Quwain Medical District has announced that PCR test will be available free of cost to all the citizens and residents of the emirate. Citizens Can Get The Test Done Without Taking Any Prior Appointments

The Umm Al Quwain Government Media Office states that the tests will be offered for free in all medical centres of the department. Citizens planning to get a test done will not have to take any prior appointments to visit the centres. In terms of these new measures, the authorities have taken to this step to control the rising cases in Umm Al Quwain and other emirates across the UAE.

Umm Al Quwain Has Also Launched Campaigns Across The Emirate To Monitor The Implementation Of Rules

In fact, on Friday, the head of the Emergency and Crisis Management team in Umm Al Quwain launched inspection campaigns across the emirate to monitor the implementation of mandatory rules in place to curb the spread of the pandemic. Besides this, the police have also warned the owners of halls to implement the necessary social distancing and safety measures at all events, including weddings and funerals, to limit the spread of the virus.

In terms of the covid-19 cases, UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Friday reported 3,251 cases of the coronavirus and 3,860 recoveries.
