An Indian woman, @ jaanv_the_parrot, living alone in the USA, took to Instagram to share her heartwarming Holi celebration with her Japanese landlord. “My Japanese landlord joined me to celebrate Holi with me, as I live alone in the USA. She is the sweetest.” She then added in the caption, “Haina meri landlord pookie?”
In the video, the Indian woman is seen applying a streak of what appears to be homemade, organic colour on her landlord’s face. Wishing her a “Happy Holi,” she then offers the bowl to her, inviting her to apply colour as well. The landlady gently colours her face and even tries to draw a small heart on one of her cheeks. Giggling happily, the two women seem to enjoy an intimate yet beautiful Holi celebration in the USA.
