Uttar Pradesh is on a mission, to put the spotlight on agro-rural tourism. Housing the most number of villages in India, the UP administration is working towards boosting rural tourism in the state. To put their plan into action, the state tourism department launched a campaign and identified 18 districts.
Uttar Pradesh To Focus On Agro-Rural Tourism
According to a report by The Pioneer, Principal Secretary (Tourism) Mukesh Meshram revealed that Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of villages in India. So, this gives the state a massive opportunity to tap into the agricultural tourism sector. He further added that the government shall pick two villages from 18 districts to boost agro-rural tourism. Moreover, many of these villages also have historical backgrounds. This will enrich the tourism experience for visitors.
