Especially after garnering so much popularity and value for himself and our country with his Michelin stars and body of work. He is a renowned chef both domestically and abroad. His participation as a juror on MasterChef India for several seasons increased his prominence even further. He quickly became well-known due to his incredible abilities and endearing demeanour. Vikas Khanna Beleieves This Maharashtrian Condiment To Be Groundbreaking

If we’re in conversation with Chef Vikas Khanna, it is sure going to be all about food. Starting with his childhood and then indulging in cheesy pocket kulchas, the duo went to a Chinese restaurant as the next stop in their food trail. To turn things more fun, they switched to the game, “Chatkare with Hajmola”. While this session of full of revelations about our favourite chef, the statement we could relate to the most was that Thecha is the most groundbreaking invention in Maharashtrian cuisine. To put it more correctly, he explained that thecha is technically fresh sriracha. What a clever way to put it, though! Giving our homey thecha an exotic stance, the chef really expressed his love for this spicy condiment.

This coarse blend of spicy green chillies, garlic cloves and peanuts has the power to turn around every dish and make it much more flavourful!

The series of Chatkare with Hajmola didn’t just end here. In this game, Chef Vikas Khanna was asked quite a few interesting questions and we loved how candidly he answered all of them. For instance, when he was asked what he used to get in his school lunch as a kid, he shared that like every Punjabi child he used to get a paratha with achaar. And to answer what makes every dish “Chatkedar”, he said, “Pyaar”, How precious is that!
