Vistara Airways Debuts At Goa’s Mopa Airport. Now Fly To Goa From Mumbai And Bangalore

Goa has seen the inauguration of a second airport in the city recently. Inaugurated on the 5th of January, the first day saw operations of 12 flights to and from different cities in India. The newly inaugurated Goa International Airport will now have new Vistara flights offering full-service carriers. In addition to their domestic network of regular flights to and from Goa and Mumbai, they are adding Mopa Airport to their domestic network. 

Vistara Is Commencing Operations From Mopa Airport

The airline has officially released a statement about the frequency and schedule of their flights from Goa to Mumbai and Bengaluru and vice-versa. Starting February 14th, there will be daily direct flights to Bengaluru and six weekly flights to and from Manohar International Airport. A320neo aircraft with a three-class configuration will be used for these added operations.

To further establish its presence in the city, Vistara will be operating in two airports in the same city. This would be a first for the airline, to be operating from two airports in the same city.

The CEO Shared The Updates On Operations

Vistara Chief Operating Officer, Vinod Kannan, commented on the development of the new venture. He announced the addition of new Vistara flights from Mumbai and Bengaluru to Goa, the city that is flourishing with tourism, now more than ever. In order to offer better services and connectivity to flyers, Vistara continues to work on the consumers’ convenience. The CEO also hopes that these award-winning services will be much appreciated by all.

Vistara stands tall with a big fleet of 52 aircraft. The airline has 5 Airbus A321neo, 42 Airbus A320, 3 Boeing 787-Dreamliner aircraft and 2 Boeing 737-800NG.

Ever since they started operations, they have flown 42 million flyers.

The new Goa airport has already started operations with budget carriers, Indigo, GoFirst and Akara Air on board. However, Vistara would be the first full-service carrier to begin operating from this new Mopa Airport. Air India is yet to decide on its services from this newly opened airport.

Commencing its commercial flight operations on 5th January, the first flight, an IndiGo aircraft, took off to the skies. This flight landed at the airport at 9 AM.
