These tips are a great motivation for them to perform well. But have you ever imagined what will happen if we pay a whopping amount of tip to any waiter or waitress working at a restaurant? Well, a similar incident happened in a US restaurant and the consequences turned out to be against that waitress.
A Restaurant Fires A Waitress After Accepting ₹3.6 Lakh Tip
When we hear someone getting fired from their job, the reason behind such instances is mostly their bad performance. Well, a waitress at a restaurant named Oven & Tap in the USA’s Arkansas was fired because she accepted a massive tip. Named Ryan Brandt, the waitress received a humongous tip of $4400 (almost 3.6 lakhs) from a group of guests, according to a report by NDTV. The group had more than 30 visitors and they paid the amount to Ryan and another server.

Though the hefty tip was meant for them, the restaurant had some other plans with the amount. The manager asked the waitress to take 20 per cent of the tip and share the rest with other workers and staff. But Ryan did not agree to this decision by the manager. In the end, she was fired from Oven & Tap just because she did not agree to share 80 per cent of her tip.
She Received A Lot Of Help From Netizens
The news of firing Ryan soon came to light. While talking with a local channel, she shared how she felt humbled by their help. Also, she shared about the entire incident on her Instagram. Many Netizens took a stand for her and helped her by raising some amount of money. It was indeed a beautiful decision taken by the Instagrammers.
