‘We Don’t Need Food, We Want To Go Home’ Plead Pakistanis Stranded In The UAE

More than 25,000 Pakistanis came to the UAE on visit visas. A few even lost jobs due to the dreaded pandemic. The stranded people are waiting to go back home ever since flights were suspended by their country. However, unfortunately, their country has abandoned them. Stranded people plead that they don’t need food, but want to go back home at the earliest.

They want their government to arrange for special flights to carry them back, but Pakistan has extended suspension until 21 April. The Pakistan Consulate General in Dubai has received and processed the registration of Pakistani nationals for repatriation from UAE. They are now waiting permission from the Pakistan government after which Special Flight operations will start.

Meanwhile, Pakistanis stranded in UAE took to social media to seek help, but in vain.
