It has been some time since Boeing has been making headlines for several wrong reasons. This time, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft is getting talked about for an alarming incident amid all the other endless controversies regarding the jets. In a recent incident, a Boeing 737-800 lost a wheel while departing from the runway and had to make an emergency landing. What led to this shocking incident? Read on to learn about this scary news.

Boeing 737 Was Taking Off From Johannesburg Airport

Taking to X, Lord Bebo (@MyLordBebo) shared necessary information about the entire incident.

It was on Sunday when the flight made an emergency landing followed by some issues. This incident took place at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport in South Africa. According to Aviation24, the aircraft lost one of its wheels during its take-off from the airport. The major problem of the FlySafair flight was seen first by the ground personnel. They soon informed the pilots about the same.

Later, the decision to make an emergency landing was taken. Within some time, the aircraft landed on the runway safely. The good news is that not a single person faced any injuries during the entire alarming episode. Following the landing, the news broke out making people raise their eyebrows about the Boeing 737 once again.

Several pictures and videos of the aircraft are making rounds on social media platforms. These show how some parts of the Boeing 737-800 were damaged. The right-wing and the undercarriage faced some damage, according to a report by NDTV. Not just affecting the parts, the emergency landing also led to smoke coming out of the aircraft. Multiple videos recorded by passengers show the horrible conditions of the flight after it landed at the airport right after taking off.

According to the X post made by Lord Bebo (@MyLordBebo), an engineer stated that many people could lose their lives if the Boeing company does not work on the aircraft and their quality. The engineer worked for the firm for about a decade previously.
