The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open is back, and the 2027 edition has a few new tricks. The WTA 500 tournament will celebrate its fifth edition from 30 January to 6 February at the International Tennis Centre in Zayed Sports City, with Abu Dhabi Sports Council presenting.

The Mubadala Open Is Back In January

The 2026 edition drew more than 60,000 people, and the same format returns this year. Expect 28 singles players and 16 doubles teams across eight days, competing for a US$1.2 million prize fund and valuable WTA ranking points. WTA 500 events sit just below the tour’s biggest WTA 1000 tournaments, so the draw is a serious one, and that keeps the event a fixture on the international tennis calendar.

What’s New In 2027

The Village Pass

A new and big addition to the event that will provide fans and families access to the Mubadala Village.
